Matthew Olin Pairs Fonts with Superheroes

Superheroes have always been a prominent part of my life. While growing up, like many kids, I remember wanting to have super powers and defeating an army of bad guys.  Interestingly enough, as an adult I have not given up on the idea of possessing special powers, tackling evil-doers, or wearing my underwear over a pair of super tight jeans!

In the collection ‘Superhero Typographic Classifications‘, graphic designer Matthew Olin pairs fonts with superheroes, based on the superheros characteristics and qualities. In a very creative styling, Mathew Olin draws similarities between a typeface and the superhero. He believes superheroes provide a great base for the imagination where we can let our thoughts run wild and free.

After seeing how Matthew Olin pairs fonts with superheroes, I believe that I will never be able to look at typography or superheroes the same way again. As a matter in fact as I am writing this post, I am thinking about my favorite font (Sans Serif) and my favorite superhero (Batman). And I am wondering if there is a correlation between my favorite font and my favorite superhero Batman. Can your preference in font dictate who is your favorite artist? What do you think?
